Fitted these cheap speakers from kmart in the rear parcel shelf in my EL monty. The old factory pioneers were still in all right condition, the cones had no splits or cracks.




Anyway these 200w F&D brand go all right. My sony explode unit can now be set in equaliser explode mode without distorting the rear speakers..Bass is so much better now. I can now turn my head unit above 14..vol without hearing distortion through the rear speakers.

but even the cheapest aftermarket speakers are going to s**t on the factory ford paper cone speakers.. i too replaced the stock speakers 1st and it made a huge difference.. and that was still using the factory head deck!..

They do look like a cheap pioneer actually. I got a set of 2 way pioneers for $39 from Strathfield for dads F-truck the other day - they are fricken great for $39!!! listened to em on the soundboard amped and unamped, and they were better than the 150 kenwoods and boss (lol), as well as the $100+ mtx's.
Im not being biased either, they are really a great cheapo speaker.
