Whatever you do, don't get 8" subs. You have heaps of room, stick to normal size subs that will play a decent frequency range.

I don't know...I have heard some 8" subs doing really good down low. I only suggest 8" because it fits on the parcel shelf...so mainly for convenience. However my sister's fiance's 2 x 8" JL subs hit better lows then some 10/12s I know...probably his set up, but sounds good and loud nonetheless...RnB music btw.

Yeah, but the guy was willing to give up however much space for four 12's, so I don't think he's concerned with saving space :p

Polk audio..... ha ha ha

why have different sub sizes? the frequencies would cancel each other out so it must be a "ive got 2 different size subs in my boot" kind of cool thing.

anyway pardon the rant.... if i were you id go 2 decent 12" subs with a large monoblock amp with 0 gauge wiring and very large earths....

i had a very exy setup in my car which i dont use anymore but this is the what i had.

dont bother using crappy quality subs.... they arent worth it

That was me. I don't want to say anymore as I don't like knocking other people's work that they have put time and effort into. If you are happy with it that is all that matters.

It isn't as bad as Boss Audio etc etc, but for the price it isn't that cheap that you wouldn't consider spending more and buy a quality product.

I don't know how 2 different subs can cause frequency cancellations...maybe distortion or build up of different frequencies at overlapping sound waves...but no cancellations unless you wired one sub in reverse polarity to the other. As long as each sub has a set frequency range via the amp there shouldn't be a problem really.

However concur with quality subs.
