These are mine. They're US Audio so they're pretty cheap but they've been really good. Also got 2 12" subs with and amps with it.

i dont think it really matters coz if u want excellent bass get subs and 6x9's coz u got 6" ones in the front which will give u the good clearness.

iv got pioneer TS-D 6x9's in the rear and TS-D 6inchs in the front.
the 6x9s are cut into the shelf but i would definatly recomend 6inchs.
the TS-D speaker are awesome but there not cheap.
i think sound stream speaker are one of the best quality for there prices.

I've recently had a talk to some people and no one who has cut 6x9s has had it noticed getting a roadworthy. Maybe for you guys in states that require yearly roadworthy checks it may be different but!

i havent had a problem with mine.
i just wouldnt recomend cutting the shelf as a good set of 6inchs are a lot easier.
i do love my sound system but wouldnt do it again.

I agree with that, next time I'd rather just do the right (and easier) thing.

I would just go 6in as its easy to fit and unless you cut the shelf 6x9's look rank.

For people who said splits in the back aren't worth it unless your into serious SQ, i have splits in the back and won't go back to coaxials. Sitting in the front there isnt a huge difference, but when in the back its definately noticable.

The rear parcel shelf is classed as something structural integral, so you cant chop it.

6" FTW, no questions.

I've got some 6.5 splits up front running off 65rms, 6.5 4way Pioneers in the rear off hu (they were cheap, and sound pretty good), and a 15" sub running off 1000rms (Alpine MRD M1000)

Sounds exceptional when tuned for SQ, or absolutely killer when you pump up the bass. It hurts on half volume with bass on +5/6, and gains set on 0 on the amp.

The 6x9s arn't illegal, just cutting into the shelf is. You can use spacers.
