hey guys i have two 1200W Peak Power, 300w RMS, 4 OHMS kenwood subs. i want to put them in my car although not sure on what amp i need, should i get a 4 channel incase i want to run splits or somehting off it later or should i get one of those 1 channel sub amps. not too cluey on this topic, i really dont want to spend alot, maximum $300, would consider a second hand amp, how many whats should it be and how many channels to get good qualtiy bass from these subs?? any particular amp anyone recomends?

Best bet would be to mono block and run them in parallel look at a alpine clarion or pioneer mono loking at maybe 300 - 350 from memory unless on special they may be under 300!!

you want someone with around the 300RMS power.. a boss amp or bose.. even a kenwood amp will run them but could be worth a little more ten $300

What you want is an amp that will give you around 600watts rms at 2ohm to fully utilise your subs.
Wire up the 2 subs in parallel to get a 2ohm load and then to the amp. Monoblock is prob best bet, otherwise a 2 channel amp that handles 2 ohm loads. {DESCRIPTION} |

Arent BOSS a very cheap nasty amp, also Bose dont even do car sound, sorry but a Kenwood amp will probarbly die soon after the subs! I would go with the Alpine for sale.

Yeh the MRD-M500 would do a brilliant job. 567.8wrms would be plenty and you won't find anything close to it for that price.

i got a coustic 400W rms amp for $300 new and very similar sub specs and that runs them beautifully for the price plus you get a remote bass controller,
They get a great write up in car mags. |

mono blocks are good but id still choose a 4 or 6ch for your car if you want to amp the speakers inside aswell
