Hey guys I am currently looking into a fairly big install into my XR8. I spoke to my installer yesterday and he said that he will probably put in two extra batteries in the boot. Problem is I need to source an upgraded alternator to handle the extra duties. I have seen in the stinger catalogue that I downloaded that they have heavy duty alternators. Does anyone know of any that fit the EL V8? What have you done with the electrical system in your big installs?

but i am sure as that you can get your alt rewired for more current draw
talk to a good auto elec, hell the installer should know someone

Try summitracing.com , the prices are all $us but i think they have a 200amp alt to suit a 94/95 mustang which looks fairly close to the aussie ones.
Other 94/95 mustang parts have fitted my ef 5.0
