hey all, just bought a gauge tripod from pole position and have installed this along with the 3 gauges i bought in my ba mk2. only problem is trying to find somewhere to put the water sensor? have been told by mod shop they can drill and tap the thermostat housing to suit, but would prefer to use the adaptor that sits in the top radiator house. does anyone know what size to get and a company that supplies them in perth?

Enzed generally can supply that type of gear. Find the hole you want to use, pull the sensor out of it and take that along with the second sensor you want to put in down to them and they'll get you what you need.

theres currently no sensor in there. im looking at cutting top radiator hose in half, and putting a piece of aluminium pipe in the middle, with a threaded hole for the sensor. kinda like this one... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... :IT&ih=010
thing is can only find sizes up to 34mm and dont know if that would be big enough? would enzed sell something similar?

But if it's in the radiator hose then that's not actually going to give you engine temperature, as if the thermostate is closed it won't be flowing teh hot water from the engine.

Why not just put a t-peice in where the factory temp sensor is for the gauge or thermo fans?
