hey guys, im new to this forum, so HI!. dont know if its been covered before, but im going to upgrade the headunit in my AU TE50 soonish and i want to know would i be able to use the stock stacker still? im going to get either an alpine (9853R or something) or pioneer (8650MP or 9650MP) headunit. is there some sort of adaptor/converter to go from the alpine/pioneer that i will be able to get if its not the same plug? thanx for your info in advance.

Ford use pioneer and alpine depending on the model. I dont see the reason for using a stacker when the mp3 HU are so cheap now. You can fit about 8 albums to a single disc and if the disc is stolen you still have the original. I used to have the stacker in my EL fairmont ghia and never have regreted once chaging to mp3/wma. Never have to pull over and open the boot to change a disc!

as they said before just get a MP3 Head unit cause you will fot more albums on it and change the cds easier.

Im sure the E series used the Pioneer but they changed to Alpine for the AU's.
I noticed a trend for ford and that is they always use the best.
