ok so i have been looking at some of the sweet as boot installs out there but i realised that not many ppl are using alpine subs.. well thats irrelevant really.. anyway, i am in the process of making up a custom boot install for my xr and was just wondering what people would think about mounting 2 alpine Type R subs rated at 1500W max each between the strut towers in the boot. i already have one alpine sub in a box which works good but wanna go the whole way with the custom boot install/fake floor.. just wondering whether there is enough space between the strut towers to make these subs drive hard and whether to seal or port the box. thanks

I'm no stereo expert but to me it sounds awesome. Very smooth but powerful bass, rest of the system is crystal clear aswell being MB Quartz all round.

Alot of work though. yeah have seen that.. looks mint!! but unfortunatly i need my boot space and well the spare type can always come in handy.. i was thinkin 2 subs between the towers and the 2 amps next to the spare wheel with a fake floor and persplex ova them to maje em see through

Like anything tho u pay for what you get - alpines done very well when it comes to speaker/subwoofer performance in both SPL and SQ markets without burning massive holes in the customer pockets as a result.
