My first sound system was 12" type R with 360w RMS, was a decent volume and depth. Got 2 x 12" type R's with 500w RMS each, which is obviously excessively loud .
But the one sub was good. What cabling you using for the sub?

Make sure the gain isn't turned way down on the amp

na the amp is maxed out, the cabling isnt too bad relitivly good quality to be honest but yes it does go fairly hard but i would of exspected more for 750$ worth but i didnt end up paying that much anyway

Have you wired it up properly?
Have you got the Dual 2ohm Alpine Type S 12" Subs or the Dual 4ohm Alpine Type S's 12" Subs How Big is your Sub Box - has it any air leaks
