My first sound system was 12" type R with 360w RMS, was a decent volume and depth. Got 2 x 12" type R's with 500w RMS each, which is obviously excessively loud :P.

But the one sub was good. What cabling you using for the sub?

Have you wired it up properly?

Have you got the Dual 2ohm Alpine Type S 12" Subs
or the Dual 4ohm Alpine Type S's 12" Subs

How Big is your Sub Box - has it any air leaks
