ive just got a 12 inch x type sub and 1000w amp, to replace the factory 8inch sub,

is it as easy as using the wires that come from the head unit to the factory sub amp strait into the new amp? or is there more to be done,

sorry if this has been posted before if so could i be pointed in the right direction cheers!
