They have been sitting in my Cubard for months now never used still in the box..

They are Velocity 165mm 2-way coaxil reference speaker system with SAC cone and silk tweeter.

Max Power: 100W

Nominal Power: 40W

Nominal Impedance: 4 ohm

Freaquency Responce: 45-32.000 Hz

Sensitivity (2.83 V/m): 92db

Cone Material Bass Driver: Spun aluminium (SAC) - copper

Thiel-small-data: fs 60 hz / Qts 0.7 / Qes 0.8 / Qms 5 Vas 21 L / Xmax+ / -2.5mm

Crossover: Cap built in

Mounting Depth: 60.5mm

Mounting cut out size: 143mm

Are they pieces of crap or are they ok?

theyre ok.

sensitivity is good, anything under 90db is not worth getting :P

lol anythings better then stock,
i would use coax for rear fill, splits for front, but it depends on how picky u are with ur sound system

yeah blaupunkt aren't that bad. my friend had a blaupunkt system in his car. the subs were awesome and the splits worked great. but his rear 6x9s were out of wack. not bad i reckon....so i ended up with a pair of blaupunkt splits at the front ;) not installed just yet.

Yeh dont use co-axials for front stage...not bad as a rear fill option but dont use em up front.

i got soundstream coaxs in the back and focals splits in the font, 5 and a half inch woofers mounted in the door and the tweeter on the top of the door trim, i found the mounting spot for tweeters on the dash was to hissy,
high frequencies hitting windcreens is quite an ugly sound lol

thats exactly my theory boys :D hence the focal splits and 3 way 6x9's at the back *shudders* not my choice, they were in there when i bought the car
