Hey, I want to change the standard mobile phone kit that comes with an AU Fairlane from some old type of nokia for a new model nokia.

Is it possible or just change the cradle and the connections, or do u have to buy a whole new system?

If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Depends on the system.

Usually the control boxes have been changed between Kit versions so I would guess that you'd need the whole lot.

The Smarteq kits have a system where you just change the cradle.

if it is a genuine nokia kit, you have to change the whole thing
this includes the cradble, module box, and electrical wiring (as the plugs will be different)

in the future all nokia car kits will be standardised, and only the cradle needs to be changed
