ok guys i dont get it what some times my trip computer works and other times only half the numbers show up with the digits realy faint what does this mean lol?

sounds like a faulty globe mate, pull it out and leave it plugged in and turn ignition and head light switch on and if there are not 4 lighting up then thats ur blown globe. 2 at bottom 2 at top and one in clock.

Sounds more like a faulty LCD. It's pretty common in the AU climate control and trip computers apparently.

IIRC there was a place that did repairs on them, but I can't remember or find the info.

It's probably easier and cheaper to grab one off Ebay anyways, if it's necessary.

yeah it seems more like a faulty screen than globes but i will have a look
looks like a bit of a b**ch to take it out wonder if i need to take the whole dash out to get to it or the wood grain just pops off?

i have done it many times for led conversion to blue etc. if u need a hand let me know on here and ill talk you through it.

its 1 screw and 2 plugs :)

just pull the little clock surround off... (from the left or right side, i cant remember)

make sure you get one from the right series,
AU1 only fits AU1 (Orange writing), AU2/3 are the same (Black font, white backlight)

theres a guy on ebay who u send yours too and he sends you a replacement one i think, try looking uner au woodgrain mate.

ok mate well your in luck cos i bid on one of them and won it. i have one already and its been cleaned of filters as to be able to use any colour leds you want in it. i have red at moment. once it arrives would you like to buy it if its all working properly. i will check it in my car firdst to make sure all is good. how does that sound?
