without destroying anything how is it done...

ive looked in the tech docs and it didnt help...mentioned torx screws, thats E series the au's dont use them (or so someone said)

theres mention of a special tool....where can i buy it? how can i make it? anyone got a pic...

and how is the consol shroud held on?

remove the ashtray and headunit then u will be able to see all screws and clips that hold it on

go to your local ford dealership and ask them nicely.. me and a mate went to ford and they pulled the head unit out of an AUIII XR6 for nothin.. and another time we went to autopro and they did it free too... just ask nicely lol

too late the shroud is destroyed!!!
