i have decided to finaly upgrade my premium sound setup in my car. but i am not sure what i want yet. the first thing i want to change is the head unit to something with mp3 playback, dvd and even possibly gps. does anybody have any suggestions. or even any pics with aftermarket head units installed on an AU falcon i will need 2 single din units, a double din unit or a new fascia for a single din unit.
pictures will be alot of help do to the curves of the AU centre console id imagine it is quite hard to find head units to match.. also if anybody knows anyway of keeping the factoy steering wheel controls working please post details. thank you |

Okay...
Head Units: ^^ Basic MP3 Player (Pioneer) ^^ Basic MP3 Player (RF) ^^ Basic MP3/DVD Player (JVC) ^^ Basic CD/MP3 Player (Kenwood) ^^ Basic MP3 Player (Alpine) Now for Screens: Steering Wheel Controls: Stinger Make an Adapter, for Pioneer Head Units ~$160 Alpine Make their own Adapter, for Alpine Head Units Lightning Audio do make a Steering Wheel Control: http://www.lightningaudio.com/2004/prod ... prodID=576 It works with: Alpine, Clarion, Denon, Exlipse, JVC, Nakamichi, Kenwood, Panasonic, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate and Sony head-units. But not: Sony CDXM770, CDXM620, CDXM670, CDXCA850X, CDXCA860X The Controller only works with aftermarket head units that are equipped with an original infrared remote. As the product is American, I'm not 100% sure if they'll work on Australian Cars. Sorry about all the pics... Also what Model AU do you have?

No probs... With an AU, if you get an in-dash motorized screen, as you can see it will foul the controls and possibly part of the air vents.
What i plan to do, is stick a single din dvd player below my cd player. And hook up a screen in my roof, or in my headrests. That way, if i wanna watch something, i'll just jump in the back and kick back and watch it. Pioneer headunits seem to best fit and look nice in almost any car.

They are a double din. Or two single din units.
