Hey all.
as you have probably all guessed i own a 2000 AU2 xr6, i have gotten about halfway through installing a new headunit, with the help of some of the posts here.... but my question is with the factory wiring diagram what is the colour of the cable for the aerial to get the radio cranking.. i hardly use it coz now i got mp3 but it would be handy to have..... for the cricket and stuff lol..

the aerial should be a seperate thick black wire, it doesnt attatch into the wiring harness, it has its own seperate connection into the deck.

does that also lift it up and down when the tuner is turned on or is that an issue for the new deck..

nah thats just for the radio signal, pushing the aerial up and down electronically is different again, im not sure on this part as i have never had an electronic aerial, but you dont adjust the height from the deck, you need seperate buttons on the dash for that. as for which wires do this, i am unsure, but im sure someone around here has a wiring diagram for it, or use the search function.

I believe the wire on the radio loom that controls the aerial motion is red with a dark blue stripe.
