Ok I recently had gas installed on my car, from Perth Auto Gas (2 weeks wait, dont ask me why but they havnt got nearly as many jobs as the other places and can get the systems and tanks)
Anyway I have premium sound, but now my stacker and sub have been removed to accommodate for the gas tank. I need some suggestions as to where I should mount them and what have others done with audio systems in cars with gas tanks. Please include pics if possible.

when i had my ef on gas, i stuck the stacker under the drivers seat (it was an alpine not a ford stacker, it fitted there nicely - turned out to be lucky too, car was broken into later and the 1st place they looked for the stacker was behind the seat and of course it wasn't there ) and i believe you can make a spacer out of mdf or ply the will let your sub sit up a bit higher so that it will clear the gas tank - i didn't have a sub, but my bro did in his fairlane and this is what he did to his sub when he went to gas

If its a factory Sub then the factory gas install has a spacer to lift the sub up. If not the it will be a custom install. Here is my install.

I am having the same dilemma. Am tossing various ideas up at the moment but still haven't settled on anything...

On a similar topic, is there any issues with mounting amps on the back seats provided they fit between the gas tank and the seats?

I had the same problem with an NC Fairlane, I used a speaker riser for the sub and placed the cd stacker on the floor under the lpg tank and behind the right rear passenger seat ... accessible by tipping forward the right rear seat. Cable still reached. Not sure if you can do the same with your model.[/quote]
