I'm not sure on what the difference between getting a boosted aux and and non-boosted aux is....
Also i would like to know if anyone have any ideas on where i might be able to buy the better selection of the two???

EBAY!!!! booster means it wont drain your batt in your device as quick and may be able to boost the signal, but in the end boosting the signal to a crap stero = crap sound, $19 cord from ebay for a direct plug and play 3.5mm jack connection is the way to go, i have it, works great. i like it because any device with a 3.5mm input can be used compairded to the ipod connection cable etc.

anyhow disregard jim89. the mp3 player cable from ford comes in 2 variants. one is a normal wire which just basically routes the mp3 player in as an aux input. the boosted version does the same, but it has an amplifier along the line to help signal strength. both have a 3.5mm jack plug at the end, allowing you to connect any mp3 playing device you like. you will not get control of the item or track info through your icc, and it will not charge your mp3 player. its basically like running headphones on your ipod except the headphones are the car speakers. everything will be controlled via the mp3 player. the standard version ive heard is pretty average. the bossted version is better, the one i had in my ba was good, once installed just select aux on the icc and play your mp3 player.

My Ipod and my Phone both have 3.5 jacks....
I just charge my Ipod once a week and have the phone as a backup if needed

There are non-genuine Ebay ones that have the Ipod plug on them that do charge your Ipod.
They are however non-amplified.

Can't comment on them as I have a genuine amplified version

The one and only IPod Aux input device to buy.

Tried all the others, and this one is by far the winner and is worth every cent.

Even pauses the IPod when you turn the car off.

And you have to get the boosted one if you want decent audio, there's no question there.

I Have my nokia hooked up using the $19 aux cable, does the job ok.

the quality of sound isnt perfect, but after a bit of adjusting of the equaliser on the phone i got it sounding ok... quality is probably as good as FM radio

Doesnt drain my battery as i hook up the incar charger to it at the same time
