Hi all
I have a BA mkII XT, and would like to install my Alpine HDD MP3 player and the hands free kit for my phone, as well as my amps/speakers. I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can help: 1. The MP3 player is an in-dash unit, I will mount by doing some minor surgery on the tissue holder. Does anyone know if I will have to get the module used for plugging in external units (Haven't seen it, but assume it is a jack socket type thing), or are there RCA sockets into the factory head unit which I could use? 2. Does anyone know the pin assignment of the the two mobile phone connectors behind the fusebox? Is there a mobile phone presenter that can be fitted to this model car, and is the wiring already in place? If there is, where does it mount? 3. Does the factory unit have RCA preouts I can use to drive my amps? TIA |

1. Id say u will be looking at getting or making the wiring for the accessory socket...
2. the pin arrangement is here somewhere... its actually one for mobile and one for Aux input..., u can get a phone presentor that comes out of the cantre console under the armrest, but no wiring... 3. no it doesnt. u will need to use hi-level inputs or converters |

Give AAPW (Autobarn Airport West a call)
They have made up a mould for the BA's tissue surround to fit a single din headunit ands that will save you some time and butchering. They will also help you with the using the AUX input so you dont need to cut and solder too much...
