Hey guys
Not sure what to do with my unk's ba Futura as it has an odd issue. I beleve it went something like this..... My aunt jumped in the car and had issues turning it on so went to ford to get it looked at. the guy checked the fuse discoed the battery and now all that comes up is the time (stuck on 12 and flashing) and the heater controls? will not turn on and nothing apart from the heater control changes any ideas? rang ford and they were usless so im a little stuck. do i just remove the unit and replace it or should i taker it into ford and get them to fult find it and it cost a sh!t load? I use to fit audio so im that way inclined but i havent delt with newer units like this. Any help appriceated Japcrp |

Um if i'm reading this correctly, then FORD let her go with the ICC malfunctioning and called it a fix? Did they charge her $$ for this? If so I would be taking car back to them and letting them know they stuffed up and they should be fixing it for free. If this is not the case then i'm not 100% sure if its just the ICC theats crapped itself or if its more serious like a BCM module. In any case a FORD service centre should be able to diagnose the problem for you, whether you want them to fix the problem ($$$$$) or if you want to do it yourself is up to you. In any case good luck.

You have an advantage living in Victoria, if you contact these people http://www.aslautomedia.com.au/ you should be able to have your problem rectified.
These are the people who are authorised by Ford to repair ICC units. BTW, Ford dealers CANNOT fix ICC units, Ford will not allow it, all ICC units have to be sent away to be fixed to ASL AUTOMEDIA. |
