Thanks for info.
I found all wires but what about wiring new headunit to factory fitted amp. Which wires form new headunit and which one from factory amp? I assume sub preout from headunit and yellow(167) and Shield(168). And I can wire them up at passenger kick panel. Is it right?

You'll see connector 396 off to the Amp, is the same one that goes of to three of the other speakers, so yeah you'll find the wiring in the kick panel just the same.

So I will wire Sub preamp on the new headunit to yellow(167) and Shield(168). Is that right? |

You'll also need the ACC line hooked up to provide a turn on signal. The DIAG line, is required for the ICC, I don't know what it actually does. The amp needs this connected to run*. * When connected the ICC reduces the bass sent to the speakers, cause the sub is obviously meant to do that. I've experimented with removing that feature (because it removes too much of the mid/upper bass leaving the front sounding hollow). Not having this line connected, prevents the amp from working.

WoW it works,
Thanks mate. I simply left the factory audio on and wired amp like what I mentioned(yellow and shield) and it works fine. So now every thing is good and I can say the sound quality is better than factory one. now I have two more question. First antenna. Do you know where is it plugged to ICC and is it easy to remove and plug to new headunit. Second do you know the size of factory sub at back. because I have a 10" Kenwood sub and I was thinking to buy a new amp and replace it with factory sub and amp. Cheers mate |

Cheers mate Antenna, plugs into the bottom of the ICC, with a standard antenna plug/socket. remove the tissue box holder and you'll find it. The factory sub is an 8". There's some good replacements available. Kenwood to a nice one (and reasonably priced), Focal do a very nice one (I run one), but it's on the expensive side.

I found antenna. Easy one.
I had a engine noise on Sub. Wired preout plugs outer side to bode of head unit and solved. I will try to sell my 10" sub and buy a 8" Kenwood and a amp to go with it. Now I have a problem and that is my parking sensors alarm sound!! I don't have it anymore. Normally with factory unit it turns off the rear speakers and plays the parking sensors alarm sound. What should I do to have them again? |

You'll need to add another speaker in the back and wire it up to the factory wiring so the ICC can play through it.

Hi guys,
I realise that this thread is a bit old, but I figure this would be an appropriate place to ask. Has anyone rewired the front speakers on a BF wagon. Is it the same as the BA. I can feed a coat hanger from the door through the grommet and into the car body, but I cant find it on the other side. Am I supposed to be cutting a hole in the vinyl, or am I doing this all wrong? Heath ****edit****** Nevermind, I just ended up removing the door. A bit of work, but made it much easier. |
