I just need to know if the standard lcd screen in the ba stereo can be moved. i want to move it ( extend the lcd cable ) and put it down the bottom near/in the tissue box holder. And replace it with a touch screen. Went to a stereo shop yesterday and had a blue with the owner about it. All i need to know is the lcd screen movable if i extend the lcd screen wires, to my tissue box holder.
Thanx
Blair

why not contact ASL logistics in melbourne
and see if they can do a touch screen upgrade to the ICC, and retain both in the same location?

Pretty sure it's a no.

You really need to leave that whole thing intact as I believe it contains the cars body control stuff, ie smartshield crap(feel free to correct me).

You can add a fold out touchscreen down the bottom in the tissuebox holder though.

asl wont touch any aftermarket stuff and will only upgrade with genuine ford products.. so thats a no... i would like to know if the screen can be moved as well which i'm guessing it could be as when you take the icc out of the dash you can drive around without the cd player/fascia in aslong as the icc computer ect is in.

Hey, no u cant move any part of the ICC unit as it will screw with ur car. It houses everything that ur car needs to run an is around $6000 to replace, and is very fragile item, can't even turned upside down.

I have fiberglassed a 7" touchscreen for my carputer above it tho in the triangular piece for a carputer instalation if interested.

It is around $1500 for a 6 stacker CD with colour screen from ASL + is you damage the remote sensor and blue control box (which sits underneath the unit) you are up for major $$$$ - would not be $6K though.

the icc unit all interacts with each other an has specific codes to allow each module to talk to each other in lamins terms, an it definatley isn't a job that is a DIY lol, hence y it is costly to replace the ICC

mate, you have 50 posts to your name, leyroy iirc acutally works for ford....
and afaik, if it was to f**k up, you could probly just tow it to ford with a replacement one installed and they could use there computer to tell it to all interact with each other....
