The time has come to install my sub, amps and all the other crap i have been collecting for the last 7 years... i made a promise to myself that i would not intall my 4ch JVC amp unless i had the 2ch one to match.
ive had a couple of intalls in the past but they wernt good enough for me to waste the amp on (not that its the worlds greatest amp) and finding the matching 2ch amp was harder than i original thought. But all is good now, i have all that i need and started work this weekend. i have more pics than this but this is all a can be bother putting up right now

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious but there's not much volume behind the sub... How's that going to work?
EDIT: Just re-read the drawing. That's clever! Still not a massive volume but should work alright. Are you planning on porting it?

Who's to say ~1.5 cubic ft of volume isn't about right for that sub ?

Are you planning on porting it? yeah as of right now i plan on porting it, i have just finished the accurate measurements and it came up at 22 ltrs... upon closer inspection of my "clever measurements" i've found that insted of "r" squared i've done "D" squared.... DAMN!!! I knew it was to perfect! 20 Ltrs is a lot to lose, hence i will be porting oh well, just means more tuning (and double checking of work next time ) |

Very neat dude looks good ... obviously youre lookin to retain practicality of a boot to still be able to use it as a boot have u thought bout adding a nice face plate / cover like a mesh with under lighting at least to protect the woofer face from having something stored in the boot punching a hole through it whilst bumpin round on the road

i work for a doors and windows company so i'll get some glass cut to size with polished edges and screw holes to cover the cap and i was thinking of making a crim-safe screen for the sub (woven stainless steal mesh) should look pretty good

Not to shabby. Definitely do something to protect the sub - or never use the boot for anything.

Maybe a perspex cover over the whole boot floor? Put some little neons in there aswell or some form of pattern on the carpet... Just a thought. (prob an expensive thought too lol) |
