Ok so my window used to stop 3/4 down and then id just keep flicking up and down and it'd usually go down or up... but when i got to my car after dinner tonight this happened... loud noises when the window stops.. :(

can someone help me? would it just be the switch or?? sounds like somethings being jammed...

Get some silicone spray and spray the rubbers! And stop trying to use it or you will f**k the motor! lol

It's because the glass is binding on the rubber.

Put the window down and spray around the rubber you can spray down the track a bit, shouldn't have to pull the trim off. Might have to run it up and down a few times.
You can also get a rag and a flat head screw driver, wrap the screw driver with the cloth and run it around the slot. It will clean the gunk out and then spray it again. Should work like new.

Well you must have fingered the motor using it when it was sticking. 2 screws top corner edges of the trim, 1 screw in the handle, 2 in the grab handle and 2 down the bottom. Then just pop it off...

yeah i opened the trimmings figuring it out myself.. wasnt anything too hard, i managed to get the window back up thankgod! but now i just got off the phone with ford and they say it's $199.95 for a new regulator and charge $132.85 PER HOUR (labour charge)

that's $332.8 .... is this right?

i want to fix it myself but i just wanted to call ford to see what im looking at if i dont have the time to isntall it myself.
