BBE is just a fancy LOUD function isn't it?

It seems to make the music seem really "full" and gets to a reasonable volume, but I find that it's just not loud enough before it seems to distort.

Should I tune my amps and onboard EQ with it off, then later turn it back on at lower volumes?
