Hey just wondering if any body had any online car audio stores which they would recommend? Looking for one that has a good range of brands and also competitive prices.

Cheers

I was amazed at the speed I got the head unit, ordered it friday night and it was at work on monday from malaysia.

You can buy things cheaper than RRP from Australian stores. You gave up your warranty on the head unit for $54

I'd recommend people only buy from authorised retailers (real stores or online) unless you're happy to cover costs when it stops working.

Yes you can, however no shop had this new model yet anyway, let alone at a discount. They both have warranty and are Australian models. Good advice though, if you do buy on ebay, check their warranty and service description first. In the end, I was happy with the 23% discount. It's a case of beer and worse case scenario I can fix it at work if something went wrong..

Nice system btw Stone!

The new models are out in a few weeks.

They're not from the Australian Pioneer, they'll have been imported from Singapore/Malaysia/Phillipines so you have no Australian warranty. Most sellers will require you to post it back to the country of origin at your own cost and pay for postage back to you once it finally gets repaired. There is the odd eBay seller that is local and has imported the products themselves and will do a swap over if you have evidence that it was installed by a professional installer and hasn't been damaged by the install.

Most of the time you won't have to claim warranty but in the rare case you do, it won't be a fun experience.

Since I work for an Australian distributor, I would prefer people buy from Australia so I can keep my job :)

Thanks for the compliment on my system :)

Jap radio frequencies are completely different, you'd need a frequency changer or whatever they're called. US FM will work fine, it's US AM that has different stepping (10kHz instead of 9kHz) :)
