Hey everyone,
I am installing a Sub in my BF Ute. I was wondering where people feed their cables through from the engine bay to the cab. If possible i'd like some pics? Also, i was wondering how you get to the back of the standard head unit. as i will need to get behind there at some stage. Cheers guys

there are no RCA outputs on the stock head unit, youll have to tap into the stock speaker wires and either put them into the high level input on your amp (if you have them), if not splice an RCA into the speaker wires and connect it that way, thats how i did mine and it works fine...
i chose to run my power cable the easy way... i ran my cable from battery, around fuse box, under coolant tank, behind brake booster, through grommet in fire wall near stearing column, i covered the cable in black conduit and you cant even tell its there... other people have gone under the wheel arch and through a grommet under there, but i CBF jacking up the car and taking the covers off.

Thanks heaps for the quick reply. I will choose the easy way too, thats the rough route i went when i had the EF, just thought id ask if there were any other ways to go.
As for tapping into the standard speaker cables, where abouts do they run and how easy are they to access? I have high level input on my amp so i will just tap into the wires i think, how did u manage a secure connection t the point where you tapped in? Sorry for all the questions too, I just want to do it properly. Cheers again

sorry i have a sedan, so i cant help you with wire locations, as i tapped into the rear speakers.
just strip back a bit of the wire and wrap the new wire onto it. just make sure you tape it all up properly after your done...

Thanks again for that. I'll probably tap into the speakers behind the seats as this is where my amp will be going. Wish me luck.
Anyone has further info it would be appreciated.
