all up, i paid $30 for the dynamat and that was enough to do the boot with a tiny bit leftover and $5 for the silicone and caulking gun. so $35 and a few hours on the weekend = no sub vibrations. also i added some single sided foam tape in between the boot and number plate

Clean the surface as best as you can with degreaser on a rag dont be shy with filling the gaps with silicone (i pumped a whole tube into the boot lid making sure to get right into all the gaps allow at least 2 days for the silicone to fully dry before applying dynamat buy a roller to get the dynamat to stick right into the corners (i bought a cheap paint sample pot roller from bunnings for a 3.50 and it work a treat) also it makes it easy to apply the dynamat by cutting it into smaller more manageable peices other than that take your time, do it once do it properly
