ok heres the go.

replaced LHS brake light few weeks ago, thought it was working, may have been mistaken though, cause found it wasnt working the other day, replaced it again today.

same symptoms.

-apply the brakes with the park lights off it lights up (maybe a little dull)
-turn park lights on and the light lights up
-apply the brakes with the park lights on, and that tail light goes out completely.

any ideas where to start looking?

only the LHS Light, RHS is fine.

and how do you get the bloody light out? i have been wedging my hand in behind it to change the globe, your meant to pull to the side of the car right? pullin bloody hard and the light is flexing so dont really want to pull much harder.

cheers.

yeah light does pull to the side to remove and some can hang on bloody tight, others just fall out...

now the stoplight not working is cos of a bad earth, check all your tail light connections and earths in the rear of the car. They are inside the boot behind the carpet on the SIDES of the boot, you should see where they all connect and where the earth points are simple enough. just check each connector and spray with a bit of WD-40 and put back together and the earth points remove screw and just clean with a bit of wet & dry sandpaper on body and connection.
