Found out its not my sub or amp thats not working its actually the RCA outputs in the HU. So my next question is that running the amp and sub on the low power inputs a good idea or just get a new HU or just get a set of 6x9's and run them off the amp and piss of my sub? Sound is not that important 2 me just want music in my car... cheers

you can just piss off the amp and sub if u just want sound. though it won't sound as good. Personally I would either get a new head unit or try and fix the old H/U...knowing me ill pull apart the old one first see whats wrong and if I can't fix it I'll buy another one.

The thing is i havnt had a stereo in my car 4 the previous 2-3 yrs and now i got 1 im just happy to have crackling coming out the speakers... well maybe not but i like the crisp sound of a nice set of 6x9's running off an amp... and also the sub might wake the baby up :)

If so then get a cheap head unit, keep the amp...piss off the sub and you have nice sound coming from the 6 x 9s and not enough bass to vibrate windows. =D win win situation
