Well unfortunately my car was stolen 3 weeks back (BA xr8 ute) and found a few days later, however minus a few parts :P rims, stereo, gauges, ute hardcover and ute tray lining lol. Now one topic i dont know too much about is car alarms/security. With tax time coming up, plus abit of cash saved up in the bank, im looking to make sure i can sleep safely at night again and not have to worry about bloody crims. Im looking to go abit further than an alarm, and ive heard a few people speak about kill switches/gps tracking etc. Anyone have an above par car alarm/security system and can shed some light on this subject please? I did a search of the forums but couldnt come up with anything too specific, or it just could be becuase its 6am lol

If someone wants your car badly enough and knows enough they will get it without the keys. Whether its an XF or BA

i agree with you, i used to know some people that were into figuring out how to by pass new alarms and got paid to do it, as well as other factory alarms.

Its not hard to do i used to work for a comp that made alarms and i worked in servis doing repairs to there alarms.

its like anything if you want to be the top dog in your game you pay for the best.

apparently, from 1992 EB Ford they hire crims to break into a newly released or soon to be released car, when they find a way to do it,
each way is fixed and makes it not stealable (in theory any way, but prolly thousands other ways to steal that car)

best way to steal a car..................................

A towtruck

I haven't heard of a BA series being stolen without the keys - ever.
Jacking it up and putting it on a towtruck doesn't count. I'm talking about driving it away.

Just to add more details

When the EBII with smartlock was released, the SA cops got some crims (ex) to try to steal the car - that is, drive it away. After 4 days, they gave up.
