me and a mate installed a cd player yesterday and he did most of the wiring... and he wired the power source to a source that is constantly powering.. so when i turn the car off the cd player doesnt turn off... its a right pain in the backside.. so i was wondering where do i wire the power source to so that when i turn the car on the cd player turns on etc etc

when you wire a cd player the yellow wire (battery) is what keeps the cd player from loosing FM stations from its memory. then there is a red wire (accesary) which you also have to connect to you ignition (the accesary wire on the ingnition). hope thats helps. or if you can deal with loosing meroty of FM stions and the clock to keep resetting you can just connect the yellow wire to the accesary wire on the car.

The original radio would have had the 2 power connections you require - won't have to go far to find them.
The most common mistake is to wire them in reverse.
