yeah i know some people that'l be happy with FM quality, and others who think 192kbit mp3s are crap and will only play originals.. so its really dependent on the person. i think mp3s are fine for the car, its not like you wanna build a studio in there, as long as its pleasant to the ear then it does its job

i got the stacker in my truck, find i never use it, personally i found it more handy to go pick up a visor CD holder, makes it easy to see the cds you want for quick swaps while driving(at idle of course), not to mention that its all of 10 bucks

if the HU is MP3 capable and the HU can control the MP3 capable stacker, i dont see a problem

well the H/U isn't actually MP3 capable but the eclipse has this unique thing called 'commander' or E-com which is a really cool thing that is above alot of other things. i was looking on their website and it looks like they haven't bought e-comm advance over here yet which would do it

to the best of my knowledge you can have any kind of stacker you want as long as its compatible with your headunit, (example mp3 stacker but non-mp3 headunit) condsidering that its just sending a audio signal and reciving control signals to change tracks/cds to the head unit. for example seeing as how my stacker recognizes cd-text and my headunit doesn't, and it displays on my stacker but not the head unit. get me?

if you have EA-EL the head unit would be eithier PIONEER,ALPINE or PHILIPS.
the stacker is ALPINE reguardless of what the head unit is as I've had to replace the one in the EF and the stacker case in my EB worked in the EF so off I went to me FORD dealer and no the stacker case is not avalible any more but they told me to try car HI FI places in PARTICULAR if youre in western SYDNEY STAGE CO do have them for $60 thats where I got it from.
