Hi i have got A 1996 Ford Falcon EF GLI, the central locking used to work but now its not working for some reason. every time i press the unlock or lock button the car is not locking or unlocking, but the red light keeps on flashing. I also tried to program the central locking but still no luck. Any Help or any Solutions please?

Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote? The smartlock in the ex's wagon goes weird like that when the battery in hers are nearly flat. The LED on the remote lights up but nothing happening, or on occasion the locks would cycle wildly for about 30-45 seconds.
Or if you're referring to the lock/unlock button on the dash, could be a loose wire behind the button. As long as the smartlock light goes out when you turn the key to 'ignition' there shouldn't be an issue with starting your car.

Does the inside lock unlock button work? If not it could be the BEM; specifically either a relay/switch or the receiver itself.

1. Shut all doors but do not lock them
2. Turn the key to 1, which is just radio, windows and clock.
3. Within 5 seconds, press the demister button 3 times, so press, press, press. the demister should be still on but do not turn it off
4. The door locks will now cycle and stop in the lock position, press one of the buttons on the remotes 1 at a time and each time you press the button, the door locks will cycle, that remote is programmed
