I apologise in advance if this is a stupid question, but I'm very new to this kind of thing. I just bought a 2005 Ford Territory Ghia SX, and the keys provided were blades only. Now, when you manually unlock and get into the car, you can lock all the doors via a button on the door (as is standard). My question is whether I can purchase a remote for keyless entry and program it as you would normally do, and whether this model will allow that.

Great, so I can just purchase a blank 3 button remote and program it then? Is there a certain one you have to buy?

you don't won't a 'blank' ... there are blanks on ebay which are replacement cases. your after the full working model

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m570.l1311.R7.TR12.TRC2.A0.H1.Xte.TRS0&_nkw=territory+remote&_sacat=0

hopefully the link works for you  & i'm not sure if they are programmed to the car same as the sedans or not? - the sedans use the rear window demister

and remember afta doing whats stated on that ebay page

"Sit in the car with the doors closed

Turn the ignition to the ACC position and within 5 seconds of turning the ignition to the ACC position, press the rear demist button 3 times"

after doing the 3 button presses [of demister switch] the doors have to lock/unlock first before you can sync up ya remotes. then you follow what they mention. if they don't turn car off & retry.

Hello,

You can program a number of remotes for a Car, and you can program a number of Cars to 1 remote. Always good to reprogam them when you get a " new " Car as it will stop remotes you dont have from working.
