I hate to admit it, but my immobilizer beep on my AU2 sounds like s**t.

Sounds like a little dolphin or something whacked :)

Is it possible to just change the beep to something similar to that of a more expensive alarm system?

I don't feel I need to upgrade the alarm or anything, as I doubt anyone is ever gonna steal my car, and if they do, it's insured anyway so I couldn't give a rats a**.

So is it possible ? :)

It may be possible to change the siren to another one, which will give you a different sound.

yee i think if you change the siren you should get a differant noise... but then again the signal to the siren will still be the same so not sure. try putting another siren on and see it if works
