Hi guys,
I have a problem!! I have an alpine F545 125wrmsx4 amplifier. Channel 1 seems to drop out with the vollume is below 1/2. Not sure what to do. I have sourced the problem to the amp...anyone heard of this problems before? More importantly, is it repairable or am i looking for a new amp next week? Cheers Dmac |

How old is it and how expensive? I would think they are just a throw away item

I've bought cheap items and have lasted longer than some more expensive brands, it's how you install and use it that plays a big factor in the equipment reliability. To the OP. How did you source the problem to the amp? Did you run new RCA cables (or just swap them around at the amp end), gain settings correct, head unit in good order? I have never heard of such a problem so I may not be much help, but the only way for a channel to drop is either the signal going in is being chopped (RCA/Head unit issue) or obviously something internal of the amp.

worked it out...ended up being the High pass switch just needed to be moved out and back into to position. Must have lost full connection with all the vibration.
Thanks for the suggestions though |
