Hey guys, the front two speakers on Mum's car have crapped themselves, I'm just after a cheap aftermarket replacement, I'm not running any aftermarket headunit or amps, I just want to run them off the factory wiring so she has the radio in the front of the car, rather than the rear speakers (which sound absolutely horrible for some reason? No clarity).

If you could recommend something cheap (under $50) that would be cool, thanks much.

I found these, never heard of the brand before and they're real cheap, any opinions?

Jaycar have some of the best value for money speakers. If it's for an E Series Falcon get the 6" splits. The 6.5s won't fit without heavy modification.

For that price, just go down to Autopro/supercheap/JB-Hi-Fi/Repco/where ever and get a brand name pair of speakers. Something like Pioneer, Kenwood, etc...
I would save up another 50 and get some Pionner Type S 6 inch speakers. They are very nice sounding for the price.

For cheep things, go brand names and from somewhere listed above for warantee and reliability. Cheap unknown brands are very iffy.

Do you mean Alpine Type S? Pioneer don't do "Type" ranges.

Haha!! Yes thats exactly what i meant.
Tired when i first wrote this.

The reason I said the Alpines is because other brands for that price are still trying to sell you "OMG 5 way 560w 6 inch speakers" Where as Alpine just have 2 ways that sound a lot better.

+1 to cheap jaycar speakers...they are cheap in price but do the job very well :). If it's an EF/EL, straight fit would be 6" I think. 6.5" fit as well with the use of a spacer.

You can buy a cheap set from JB as well if you are just looking for a quick replacement.
