you're gonna have trouble... Smartlock wont allow Remote Start to work, as it needs to have a key in the ignition to turn over (Ford's measurement to prevent hotwiring). I have an alarm system with Remote Start on it, and im yet to bypass Smartlock, which in turn, will permanently disable Smartlock.
It can work, but sacrifices Smartlock as well

One of the members on here has set up a remote start on his falcon using a second key barrel hidden under the dash.

you guys said that the smart lock modual needs a key in the barrel to start the car, so if you got a ford key that wont turn the barrel but goes in the ignition, would that work?

yes it is good., Oh and for the record i do not have a second or hidden ignition barrel. I know of 2 guys that can do it. Both charge $1,000 to fit an alarm inc remote engine start. If you dont want to pay that, thats fine, might be the reason why there are so few cars with it, although when you consider what i just paid for my alarm $1,000 would be a gift...

I did remote start on my EB, and it was easy as. The bypass circuit requires no extra barrel, just disassembly of existing barrel, plus one relay.
I won't go into specifics here, as doing so is like making a cookbook on how to steal a falcon, but if any long term members are interested, PM me, and i'll give you all the info. PCB Soldering skills are required! Also, any objections to this info being passed on will of course be considered, as long as its not flaming about "helping theives" etc etc....
