finaly got around to connecting my front speakers through a 4 channel amp so front and back are through the amp. before it was front from HU and back from amp. The amp is 4 channel 35w RMS (0.08% Total Harmonic Distortion) the front was run from my eclipse CD5444 HU.

It sounds worse then before the HU drove the front speakers better then the Amp dose.

Something must not be connected right. Most headunits are 15- 18rms so 35rms should have twice as much output.

was just playing round with it and bridged the front speakers so i put 70w Rms into them and they sounded a lot better more drive and more bass. i think i need a bigger amp. but i find it funny how the eclipse HU powerd the front speaker better then the amp at 35w rms per channel, maybe the eclipse HU has a lot more power then we think?
