im looking to do a sub box like the one pictured below but dont know what i should look out for. im going to be running 2 dual voice coil subs (1 on each side) and am wondering about wiring, porting and whether i should wire them with or against each other.

u will need 2 separate boxes ide think then put them together. if you dont ide think the subs will be fighting each other...

agreed. subs work on displacement of air. with 2 subs opposite each other, would just cancel each other out. so i would think

This is why people who don't know what they're talking about shouldn't give advice.

They won't be "fighting each other"... Look at normal shaped dual sub boxes, most of them are one chamber but both subs work fine. Just because it's a cylinder shaped box doesn't change it at all.

Yea Ston is right.
The only way a Dual Box being separated helps is if one sub fails or an amp suppling that sub fails and for bracing.

But the bigger problem I see is that if you want to make it one box with a port and keep it round is making the box terminals neat and the port fitting flush as these are usually done on the back of the base tube.

May I ask why you are looking at making something like this over a traditional box or wedge?
