i think the colour screen is an optional extra as my non ghia fairmont bf has premium sound but monochrome screen, not sure bout the sub n amp yet but i'm going fishing for them or some room to put new ones in this afternoon, will let you know what i find. the standard 6 visible speakers provide great sound though.
perhaps the presteige is the sub,amp & colour screen ontop of the premium package.

From my understanding... could be wrong though, but the premium has standard speakers +2 tweeters (in the a-pillar) + the woofer and amp on the.... LH side of the boot? And of cause the in-cabin stacker.
Not quite sure ont he colour screen, i thought that came with all premium setups? |

checked my bf mont (non ghia) it has the 6 speakers, 6 stacker & no sub and amp but the 8inch hole in the parcel tray.(and no colour screen)
thinking bout getting an mtx 8' sub & running it off the hi level input from rear speakers on my mtx amp with crossover to drive it. want to keep everything looking standard. can anyone tell us how big the speakers in the front doors are ?

The colour screen is worth the upgrade if you're interested in adding a reverse camera, or DVD player etc.
Other wise the speakers are all crap quality. I recommend you replace them ASAP.

There were actually 4 different sound systems in BAs.
Utes had a ute specific system which did not have speed sensitive volume. Standard Sound = 4 speakers, single CD monochrome screen. Prestige Sound = 6 speakers, 6 stack CD and monochrome screen Premium Sound = As per prestige sound with the addition of Sub/Amp in parcel shelf, and colour screen. |

the bf has noise supression which determines the harmonic frequency inside the cabin & adjusts the sound to suit, dunno bout speed sensitive volume.
something about having all these noise level sensors, light sensors, seperate wheel speed sensors, seat belt pretensioners, air bags, data recording devices & other techo devices scares the living shyte out of me lol my house isn't even that technologically advanced why should my car be ? not that i'm complaining heh

yer i didn't think they were round, i had 5 3/4' drivers in my ea (i remember because it was a bit of a pain because of it's listing at strathfield (hadn't picked up the car yet)) meant it wouldnt fit a 6' but when i installed i couldv'e used my own cerwin vega 6's lol.
might try to fit the 6' round drivers if not the 5 3/4. can someone tell a lazy man how to remove the armrest on bfs, im asuming the metallic strip pops off as the passenger side of mine is a tad loose but didn't want to break it.
