I have a disk which wont come out and wont play. The error code is E01.
Is it very hard just to retrieve the disk? I dont want to pay a fortune to get the sound system repaired but I would like the disk back..

Hi Andrew, Most computer disc drives have a small hole on the front panel, insert a paper clip and the door opens. Perhaps there is something like that on your stereo, also I always keep backup's in the car and my originals are safe in the house, you can use most burning software to copy disc's. It's not illegal as long as you own the original. Cheers hope that helps

Yes thats good advice. Actually I'm backed up pretty well on 2 external drives and most of my music goes to the cloud.
I only put the disk in as it was one of my shorter playlists from Itunes, burned because I am tired of changing FM stations when playing through the car speakers. Looks like I have to go back to playing through the FM again.

My DVD player did that a few years ago and it still has the DVD in it and has been smashed by hammers and even wheelspun on. DVD is still in it.
Good luck. |

Well after going away for 4 days without the wagon, the disk ejected itself when the ignition was eventually turned on. So at least I get it back again.

Uniacidz at my age Celine Dion does not appear on my playlists. I am a child of the sixties and my ECU only behaves properly accompanied by Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald.
