Hi guys,

The old man is having an issue with his 03 BA Mont, he locks the car and walks away and the next time he looks at it the drivers door has unlocked. All of the other doors remain locked, also it may be hours between locking it and the driver's door unlocking.

The door mechanism in the drivers side door has been replaced but the problem still remains.

Anyone got any ideas?

someone keeps rocking up at night and unlocking the drivers door - easy to do and drives the owner of the car nuts! did it to my mate all the time!

haha, this happens during the day also and would be easier done to my car than his as i park behind him after work.

It is still happening, the timing between locking and unlocking doesn't seem to have any pattern, sometime 20 mins, sometimes 2 hours...

Anyone got a vague idea?

Does all 4 doors unlock with the remote? Or is it set up that just the drivers door unlocks then you press again for all 4 doors?

How? Would be good to know incase i lock my keys in the boot again :oops:

all doors open and lock at once with the remote, but it it just the driver's side that unlocks itself.

Had the same problem with my BA Fairmont, but with the passenger side, the problem was with the BEM

can you lock the door sometimes then it unlocks randomly? does the door sometimes not lock at all? on my Ba had all these problems and the door open indicator was on and would say it was open when it was closed.

just my 2 cents
