Hi Guys and Girls

Just querious to know is there any particular way to wire a dual voice coil sub

Ive a dual voice coil sub connected to a amp as per normal. Should i be wiring it up any differently or leave it the way it currently is.....

There are 2 ways to wire it up. In parallel it halves the ohmage of each voice coil eg. 2 x 4ohm voice coils in parallel will then be 2ohms.
In series the ohmage of each voice coils is doubled eg. 2 x 4ohm voice coils in series will then be 8 ohms.

Ive made a diagram for you hope it helps.

No probs but just make sure you dont exceed the minimal ohmage that your amp can handle.

or leave the sub running to much power for too long to burn the voice coils.
