Please help :) just bought a $400 Stereo that folds out from the top.
It's a 7" screen and i can't put it where the stock radio/cassette player was because when it folds out, it hits the dash(dash lips forward about an inch).

If anyone has any ideas on how or where to install it NEATLY, without cutting too much dash apart i would be stoked! :)

Can't really put a pic up but here is a link of the dvd player i mean:

Cheers in Advance

Its a common problem in EF/L's

I have seen people mount their DVD's further out so it clears...... they just spray around the stereo (silver surround bit) so its not as noticable.....

you could always get some spare dash bits some plastic epoxy like selleys auto fix knead it and go to work and modify the stereo surround so it is more flat and doesnt interfere with the DVD player screen

get a double din slot from a fairmont ghia/fairlane/ltd, move yours down one, get another bracket for the factory tape player, put the tape player just screwed in there to make it look neat and put the dvd player under
