ebay had one from an EB 2 Ghia - the alpine head unit. Start slowly and get what you need.

Hi All,

Well, believe it or not, but the factory setup (with a little tweaking) is adequate for my tastes (right now).

I turn it up - but not that far up.

I must be getting old! lol.

Right now, I've got stuff mounted here and there (thanks largely to the previous owner who ripped the factory amp out). I just wanted to 'stow it all away' where it belongs.

Will

Hi All,

So far, I've received one offer for an EB-ED System.

I'm very, very interested in completing the deal, but until it's done, I'll continue to look.

Whole units or individual components/parts wanted.

Might consider EF/EL systems soon.

Private message, e-mail or whatever is okay.

Willy.

With the premo head unit, does it have all 4 channels in it? (like gli-fairmont h/u)
or does it have say only 2 channels in it and then it will use the external amp for the 2 channels and a channel for the sub? (to put it basically)

1: premium wont wire straight in, the looms are different afaik
2: premium HU's only do front 2 channels, rear 2 are from the amp, as is the sub
3: wtf is with your obsession with all things stock EF/EL Ghia?

Just a little info for people that want to change from single din radio to premo sound, dont take this advice to full detail and i dont know if all true. (ef/el)

Redarding to different looms, i had a look at the fairmont (not gli cos of staker and other reasons) headunit and the only different wiring loom is.

Also looks to me the main wiring plug is the exact same, if not let me know, if anyone knows, ie conversion or whatever.

1: It has no dsp power, thats simple pos and neg power.
2: The rear speakers are hooked on seperatly from the main plug, so that plug is not needed and simply removed, cos of the amp etc.
3: Thats about it, though every radio needs a plug in aerial socket and the pic i looked at doesn't show it well, does the premo have this on the top deck (it should, just clarifying)?

1: WRONG - looms are the same - any EF/EL could option Premium Sound when new.
3: Nothing wrong with stock premo sound Phil...not everyone wants to be as full hektik as you mate

Pauly - I have premo sound complete minus rear speakers and a stacker cartridge if you're interested.
