Hi.....probably a very silly question.....rewired my new stereo other day, in my EA i just bought & noticed there was no sound coming from the back...no speakers in the tailgate...I took the tailgate trim off and noticed that there are holes there for the speakers and also wires for what i am presuming(as they match the same colour as the speaker wires going to the deck for the rear speakers)for the tailgate speakers?......but when i connect speakers to them it doesnt work.....tried other speakers.....is there a separate fuse or something>?????/.....couldnt suss it.....if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it.....new member and all.......cheers

Remove The Rear Panels Near The Side Windows/Tailgate And You Will Find The Wires Behind Them. Run The Wires From There To The Deck

Ford tailgates are s**t for speakers the tailgate will vibarate load enough to be heard.
I am thinking of moving mine to the side panels, just behind the wheel arch hump.

Yeah look, thanks alot for that.....appreciate it heaps! Am gonna try right now to get it working, if it does, yee ha! Got the vibration and rattle problem sorted, better to have the speakers pointing toward the front, rather than pointing at each other and have no L/R effect as such...speaker placement is very important.....just gotta get them working first!LOL....well thanks again!!!

I am thinking of moving mine to the side panels, just behind the wheel arch hump. Very true, it's the reason I run my rears off the headunit and the front have an amp to boost them up. Even after packing sound deadener in there it's still very rattly. |
