here the pics of the boot layout i just finshed well almost anyway its nothing really more for when i go camping its a betta jukebox and bit of wank factor

pic below is the sound deading no more boot rattles

pic below shows 19mm mdf 6x9 spacers (16 bucks from autobarn etc)
mounted them with only 2 screws in the boot rail then screwed offcuts of pine i had a work to keep it stable they also been guled in for a nice fit

pic below shows the fairmont carpet covering the brackets i made

pics below shows holes cut out with a stanley knife

pic below shows the fibreglass/mdf 6x9 speaker pod screwed into the carper then into the speaker bracket under as seen in pic2

looks like he has used the standard carpet sam. just cut the holes out of it.

the carpet from the futura, xr, fairmont and ghias are all the same. i have a futura carpet in my EL and i also have a fairmont and both carpets are the same. also the same from EF to EL boot lid carpet. hope this help.

i like the idea of the sound deadening what did you use there mate??

Nice idea but be careful closing the boot with stuff inside. If you have a sub i guess you could use some slimline 6" coaxials instead. Nice job...

yea its the factory boot carpet i went for the 6x9s coz it filled the boot lid more i didnt really wanna go 4 6in speakers (to much work)

for the sound deading i used silicone and liquid nails :lol:

for the foam thats stuck between the boot and the carpet i used this foam i got from work its like bubble wrap but better

btw i got 2 12in subs facing the rear of the car so with the mix on subs and 6x9s the sound in nuts while driving u dont even notice them

i still aint finshed it yet i cant find the other speaker pod once its finshed sometime today i'll so some completed photos with subs and maybe gay wanky neons hahaha :lol:

yea im going to move the ps2 into the boot also may add a screen and rams for the boot lid so when i press the boot button it opens all the way up

the sound is great been tuned perfect at the next cruise welcome to have a look listen etc

Not too sure what the point of this is unless you are going to use them as a party system with the boot open......

Chuck some black loom tube over the speaker wire, just have to neaten that part up a bit because it sticks out.
