Hey guys as the toppic says i need help with mounting my Pioneer DEH-1750 (dont poke fun its just temporary), i DO NOT have the original ford brackets to mount the head unit to, the car had no head unit what so ever when i bought it. ps i have searched and could not find anything about instaling with no original ford mountings.
Now im wondering on how to mount the unit wth out it falling out in any way shape or form. i cant really make my own brackets due to a lack of the appropriate tools and materials and a lack of funds, so if anyone could shed some light on which is the best path of action it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks nick-

To make your own brackets you only need a Hammer, Hacksaw Drill & Vice.
Then some flat steel to make them out of. But easier to go to the wreckers. Make sure you only use the screws that came with the headunit.

Sorry to bring up an oldish thread guys, Im assuming the bracket screws into those clips to the sides of where the head unit sits? These ones:
And yes, as the pic shows, my head unit was in there, the previous owner just mounted a piece of checker plate to the front and screwed it into the plastic surround. Thats all that is holding it there. Thats why I want a bracket... |

yes those little goldish coloured clips is waht your head unit should screw into. the original brackets slide into the plastic behind them and screw into those clips.
